H. A. (Buz) Jinnah is at Emory University in Atlanta where he is Professor of Neurology and Human Genetics. He has a clinical practice and research program devoted to all types dystonia, with a particularly interest in neurogenetic disorders. He has published more than 200 articles addressing a variety of topics including genetics and biochemistry, cell biology, anatomy and histopathology, and clinical and translational studies.
He has given over 100 invited lectures internationally. He currently is Chair of the Program Planning Committee of the meeting for the International Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Society, and director of the Dystonia Coalition, an initiative funded by the NIH to stimulate clinical and translational research for the isolated dystonias, with more than 40 collaborating institutions from several countries across North America, Europe, and Australia.
